Welcome to the Swanner Athletic FC web site, (formerly known as Swanner United). One of the newer/existing clubs on the St. Louis soccer scene. Swanner Athletic is known for its quality training, player development and professionalism, compliments of director Jamie Swanner and his staff. Swanner Athletic will be a club which provides technical development for the younger player as well as tactical development for the more advanced player. The goals of Swanner Athletic are to offer a fun and safe environment, at a reasonable price, to develop each player’s skills and knowledge of the game and most importantly, each coach/parent has a true voice in how the club will operated.

Swanner Athletic believes that “being a winner is not necessarily winning the game at all costs. There is a price to pay to become a champion and the two steps it takes are the player being challenged and the heart of each player”. This level of player development will continue with our Core Soccer Training Academy, a unique program available and developed exclusively for Swanner Athletic players. Swanner and his staff will provide each player who is ready to take the next step, (young or old) the proper tools to be successful both on and off the field Swanner Athletic is looking for individuals and teams who want to join a club who believes in the same philosophy.

Jamie Swanner has proven many times over that, ”quality training is an art that should be shared with those who want it”! He believes that “the best trainers are the one who care more about the quality of time over the quantity of time spent”. The true basic concept of coaching is “the coach is responsible for physical and mental development of each child that they are in contact with”. To develop a club style or system: 1. it must be proven, 2. It must be thought out, 3. It must be adaptable to all. “The training system in which a club implements must be explained by the Director, directed by the trainers, trained by the coaches, practiced by the kids and understood by the families”. Each person has a very important role in the growth and development of these kids. If this is the type of the training that you expect from your club, then Swanner Athletic is the right club for you.

To guarantee that everyone has the opportunity to see what Swanner Athletic is all about, Jamie and his staff/coaches, as he has done for the past 3 years, will be offering a FREE Core Soccer Training Clinic. Last year Swanner had over 300 kids from all different clubs enjoy and learn what his Swanner kids do on a daily basis. The immediate result was an increase of over 100 kids joining Swanner’s Club. The end result was an overwhelming excitement of how training can be structured around working hard, having fun and learning new things each day.

Core Soccer Training prides itself on teaching ANY/ALL players these important aspects of the game no matter who they play for. We will be updating the web site very soon listing the FREE Core Soccer Clinic, the many Friendly Kick-Arounds, Tryout Dates and other exciting Swanner Athletic Club news.
